Spicy Plum Crisp

The plums were so good this year, but I bought too many to eat before they went bad. Was thinking of what to do with them... then this happened! You can use almost any fruit you have on hand if you don't have plums but this turned out really tasty. Hope you like!



• 1 C Old Fashioned Oats
• 1 C Oat Flour
• 1/2 C Coconut Sugar
• 2 tsp Baking Powder
• 1 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
• 1/2 C Coconut Oil (melted)


• 2 lbs Prune Plums (pitted and sliced)
• 2 Tbsp Maple Syrup
• 1/2 Lemon ( juiced)
• 1 Tbsp Arrowroot Powder
• 1 tsp Tea Masala or Chai Spice
• 1/2 tsp Cinnamon


Preheat oven to 375.
Mix all crust ingredients in Med sized mixing bowl. Add half of mixture to an 8x8 baking dish.
Add all filling ingredients EXEPT arrowroot powder to a med sized pot at Med heat. Cook down until fruit is soft. Add arrowroot powder and mix until incorporated and mixture thickens. Spread all plum mixture evenly over crust and top with remaining crust mix.
Bake for 40 mins and let cool 20 mins before serving.
