Raw Chocolate -
That's right, just 3 ingredients! No fancy culinary skills required. We try to keep a batch in the freezer for a quick treat or to top our nicecreams and smoothie bowls. Here's what you'll need:
1/4 C melted coconut oil
2/3 C cocoa
3 Tbsp maple syrup, coconut nectar, or agave
1 cookie sheet
medium sized mixing bowl
fine mesh sieve
Line cookie sheet with parchment paper, set aside.
Place coconut oil in pot and heat on stove on low until just melted, take off stove.
Pour oil into mixing bowl.
Hold sieve over bowl and place cocoa into it, shaking slowly as you stir oil mixture with a spoon until all is incorporated and smooth with no lumps.
Add maple syrup and stir well, mixture will clump into a ball.
Use hands to make a ball and place between two sheets of parchment paper or plastic wrap on a flat surface. Roll evenly with rolling pin until about 1/4" thick.
Cut out desired shapes and carefully transfer to lined cookie sheet (mixture can fall apart easily.)
Roll scraps into a ball and place back between the parchment paper, rolling, cutting out and repeating until mixture is finished.
Place cookie sheet in the freezer to set for at least 10 mins.
Transfer to a sealed container and keep in freezer until you want to use them. Enjoy!
